There's something striking about these wooden walls and ceiling and this sleek modern kitchen. The contrast between the natural warmth of the wood and the crisp clean white, black and metallic lines of the kitchen is highly appealing and visually imposing. The fact that the wood climbs up the walls onto the ceiling gives the space a cozy, safe vibe. It becomes an instantly a welcoming space. Of course, they couldn't get away with all that wood if they didn't have the luxury of abundant natural light. Otherwise it would be too dark and feel too low - probably creating a claustrophobic feeling. But this way, it's just right.
